Especial Family Tradition - Hank Williams Sr. , Jr. & III

Vamos a realizar un recorrido musical 100%Southern proof por esta saga familiar.

El Patriarca- Hank Williams nacido en Mt.Olive,Alabama en 1923, educado por su madre y aleccionado musicalmente por Tee-Tot (musico negro de las calles de Greensville,AL) en poco tiempo se convirtió en una estrella en el mundillo Hillbilly y Country con su banda- los Driftin´Cowboys-y su mujer Audrey Mae Sheppard (madre del pequeño Hank Jr.). Posteriormente su gusto por el alcohol y los barbitúricos, su divorcio(1952) su paso por la cárcel le convirtieron en leyenda rockera (sex,drugs & music). Murió con 29 años de sobredosis en Oak Hill (West Virginia)el 31 de Diciembre de 1953.

Su hijo Randall Hank Williams Jr. nacido en Shvereport,Lousiana en 1949 tuvo sus inicios musicales bajo la sombra de su padre. Multiinstrumentista (aprendió piano con Jerry Lee Lewis) e inició su carrera en 1963, después de su debut con el Country. En los 70´s inicia sus contactos con el Southern rock y el Blues.Tras un terrible accidente de montaña en Agosto de 1975 en Missoula,Montana, se recupera e inicia una carrera musical imparable hasta hoy dentro del Country-Blues-Rock .Larga vida a Mr. Bocephus!!!

Y para terminar, el nieto- Shelton Hank Williams III nacido el 12 Dic. de 1972, continuador del legado de su abuelo con su estilo particular(cowpunk,altcountry,hellbilly,honkypunk..).

Con su banda The Damn Band y sus tres trabajos hasta hoy (en espera el nuevo "Damn right& Rebel pride"2008) mantiene alto el orgullo de esta peculiar Saga Familiar.
