Tenía ganas de dedicar un Especial a este auténtico "Blue Collar"& "Rock star" -El León de Detroit y su excelente "Silver Bullet Band". Yeeaaahhhh!
Nacido en Detroit, Michigan en el 45, pasa unos pocos años en California y vuelve cerca de Detroit, a Ann Arbor completa sus estudios de High School(gran deportista como corredor....igual que "on the Stage") e inicia su carrera musical en el 61 ..los años de los garitos del area de Detroit .. contacta con Glenn Frey ... y en 1968 consigue contrato con Capitol Records y organiza su Bob Seger System grabando una serie de discos.
Pero es en 1974 cuando configura su "The Silver Bullet Band" o sea: Drew Abbot (guitarra), Charlie Allen Martin (bateria), Chris Campbell (bajo), Rick Mannassa (teclas) y Alto Reed (saxo). En 1975 entra Robyn Robbins a los teclados...es el momento de llenar teatros y estadios como el Cobo Arena de Detroit (el "Live Bullet") o hacer vibrar a 80.000 fans en el Pontiac Silverdome en el junio del 76 cuando tres noches antes actuaba en un Bar en Chicago ante 50 personas.
Llegan obras maestras del Rock...Nigth Moves(76),Againts the wind(80) y en el 82 con la grabación del "The Distance" hay cambios: entran Don Brewer (bateria ex-Grand Funk) como Craig Frost(teclas) y Dawayne Bailey (guitarra).
Sigue en la Carretera en los 80´s y 90´s hasta que en 1997 tras un "incidente" de tráfico toma un retiro sabático para dedicarse a su mujer y sus dos cachorros. En el 2006 nos alegra la vida y vuelve al Ruedo con "Fade the Promise" y su feelin´ rockero de siempre.
